Design, supply and installation - LV Distribution, Electrical Installation and Control Panels.
From a "hard wired" convention proposal document IC Electrical proposed a Flex I/O System (locally Installed) for control of valve blocks, valves and instruments, this system was of particular interest to the end user not only because the installation price saved over £25k but also because due the limited space available in the building a series of smaller panels controlled by one main Plc meant that there were no issues in positioning panels.
VSD were Danfoss controlled via Device-net.
Bespoke LV Enclosure and Control Panel supplied by ICE, with added value to the client of Power factor correction units and Load monitoring equipment.
The I/O system contained over 1000 I/O and was dry tested within 5 working days, thus saving cost to the main contractor who had allowed twice as much time for this scope of works.
The Electrical installation was completed on time despite mechanical trade being some 6 weeks behind schedule.
CDM was controlled by Lorien PLC, all site activity was risk assessed and co-ordinated with Lorien, there were no reportable incidents.
