I C Electrical Ltd have secured an order to carry out the Electrical Installation of a Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) on behalf of Eggersmann Anlagenbau Concept GmbH.

This is part of a Mechanical Biological Treatment (MBT) plant which when complete will divert 80% of landfill waste amounting to handling up to 327,000 tonnes per year of household and commercial waste, sorting it into constituent parts and generating up to 3.5MWe renewable energy.

I C Electrical will be responsible for the design and installation of the electrical power and control containment and cable installation associated with the MRF plant.

I C Electrical Ltd has been awarded a multi-million pound contract for the Electrical Installation of a new Biomass Power Plant at Iggessund Paperboard Workington (IPW). Working in consortium with ABB Finland, I C Electrical will also install the 11KV Switchgear, Distribution Transformers and 690/415v MCC panels.

• Job Start Date : November 2011 (design phase), equipment deliveries from April-July 2012.
• Installation completion date: December 2012 (new facility connected to the network by March 2013).

The consortium order includes;

• 2 pieces COM600-Information System
• 3150Amp – Current Limiter
• 9 Distribution Transformers
• 8 MCC Low Voltage Switchgear
• 2 IS Reactors
• UPS Uninterruptible Power Supply Sytem, as well as 110 VDC Distribution
• Installation 11 KV
• Installation 690/415/110v AC
• Installation 24v DC
• Installation of all containment systems
• Testing and Commissioning
• Training

The Bio-Power Plant is expected to output 150MW and will supply all the mill’s energy needs, both as electricity and as thermal energy in the form of steam. The new installation will produce an estimated 325 GWh of electricity and 420 GWh of thermal energy annually.

Installation of new lighting, emergency lighting and small power in Raw Milk Intake and Effluent Plant Areas. Electrical and control system modifications to Dairycrest Foston Line 3 conveyor and labelling systems for Isoma Conveyors.

Rob Jones has been selected as one of only 12 JTL apprentices to be at the finals of the JTL Apprentice of the Year Awards for the West Midlands region. The event took place on 1/11/11 at the National Motorbike Museum in Solihull. On this occasion he has not been selected in the final three. All at I.C. Electrical Ltd are proud of his success.

We have had a very successful 2 days at EBEC- the UKs largest Bioenergy Conference and Exhibition. With over 200 trade exhibitions, this was an excellent event which placed Bioenergy experts in an effective arena to communicate about the industry. Many thanks to all who visited our stand.

I.C. Electrical Ltd are pleased to announce that they had a successful BSI audit again on 1/11/11. All working processes, procedures and standards remain in line with the BSI requirements to fulfill BS EN ISO 9001:2008. Our next audit will take place in May 2012.

IC Electrical Ltd has been certified in recognition of the company’s continued commitment to the training and skill development of their staff by offering Apprenticeships.ICE has been certified by the Chairman of The National Apprenticeship Service.
