Apprentice Competes in Skill Olympics

Robert Jones, who has recently completed his Electrical apprenticeship, was selected to compete in the 2011 Skills Olympics held at Walsall College.

Competition was very fierce and although Robert did not win the gold medal, his selection was a first for IC Electrical Ltd and was therefore great achievement to be selected for the Midlands region.[gallery]

Apprentices Achieve Awards and Competes in Skill Olympics

For the second year in succession IC Electrical ltd are proud to announce that our apprentices have achieved great success at Loughborough College.

This year was a double success as our apprentices attained not only the JTL Electrical Practical Apprentice of the year award but also narrowly missed out by coming Runner up in the Apprentice of the year award for the whole college. Managing Director Chris Emmerson and Health & Safety Manager Ian Casswell attended the awards evening at the college.

Chris Emmerson states:- “This achievement is fantastic for our apprentices and certainly sets the benchmark standard for the 2011 intake.” “Although some practical training is received at college the bulk of the practical experience is gained on site, so this also goes some way to displaying the high standard of workmanship that our team at ICE are consistently delivering”

Ian Casswell states:- “ IC Electrical Ltd and JTL are training partners and the success of the partnership is clear to see when trainees achieve awards such as this ”.

I.C.Electrical Ltd Achieves ISO 9001:2008 Accreditation by BSI

I.C.Electrical Ltd is pleased to announce that they have been awarded the ISO 9001:2008 BSI Accreditation.

BSI Stage 2 Assessment was completed on May 24th and 25th and I.C.Electrical Ltd have sucessfully achieved the requirements for accreditation to the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Standard. Please click on the link to view the BSI Certificate.

NICEIC Annual Assessment Pass

I.C.Electrical Ltd has once again successfully undergone assessment with leading electrical regulator NICEIC, passing with flying colours for the second year running. The assessor reported top marks with no major non-compliances and no minor non-compliances.

BSI Accreditation in Progress

(Update 5th March 2010)

I.C.Electrical Ltd are pleased to announce that they are working towards achieving BSI Accreditation.

All working processes, procedures and standards have been revised so that they are in-line with the BSI requirements to fulfill BS EN ISO 9001:2008. The BSI Stage 1 Assessment took place in February with Stage 2 Assessment taking place in May. The company are well on the way to achieving Quality Standard Accreditation which will benefit both I.C.Electrical Ltd and all of their customers.

NICEIC Annual Assessment

No Majors, No Minors

I C Electrical Ltd has recently undergone the Annual Assessment from the NICEIC.   As part of the assessment the NICEIC engineer reviews projects from the past twelve months and analyses the test documentation. The engineer then makes site visits and finalises his report.

I C Electrical Ltd is pleased to announce that the engineer reported no major non-compliances and no minor non-compliances.

Contracts and Commercial Director Tim McNeilly   “This is the second time in three years that ICE has achieved this standard, with only one minor non-compliance in that year (2007/8). We are committed to quality and hopefully the recognition from an authorised body (NICEIC) gives our customers a high level of confidence that I C Electrical Ltd installations are not only aesthetically pleasing but also robust and conform to current standards.   Our approved contractor status is something we are very proud of; we are looking to build on this by adding other areas of classification within 2009.”

I C Electrical Ltd has been awarded the next phase of Project Carnegie (Phase 2-5)   The project is being managed by Alectia Ltd   We have been commisioned to Design, manufacture, supply, deliver, install and test all services, systems, equipment & documentation associated with the electrical and pneumatic systems installation for the Project Carnegie – Burton – Centrifuge Streams

Universal Beverages Limited

(Update 10th February 2009)

I C Electrical Ltd has been awarded the next phase at UBL ledbury, Project HECTA.

The project is being managed by Alectia Ltd.

We have been commissioned to design the MCC/PLC control suite, which will have a ControlLogix Processor, Powerflex over Ethernet IP and Field mounted ASi control Units.

We have also been commissioned to complete the site installation works, which includes new HV switch gear,LV distribution and the Hygienic Process installation.
